Job Title: Equipment / IT Support Auxiliary Member

Reports to: Equipment Officer / Mobile Equipment Officer

Job Summary:

The Equipment / Tech Support Auxiliary Member assists with the maintenance, repair, and organization of SAR equipment and systems. This role ensures that all equipment is in working order and properly tracked in the database.

Duties:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on SAR equipment.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks (basic inspections, routine upkeep).
• Support bike maintenance, including repairs and tuning.
• Replace and test batteries in transceivers and other electronic devices.
• Enter and update equipment inventory in the D4H system.
• Conduct building maintenance tasks as required.
• Provide basic computer maintenance and tech support.
• Perform other duties or cover for another auxiliary member as needed.

Skills Required:

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills.
• Familiarity with computer systems and databases.
• Experience with D4H (or willingness to learn).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
